Hyundai i20 Facelift

Model launch date:

The facelifted i20 could be launched in India in February 2024.

Feature list:

On the outside, the Hyundai i20 facelift is expected to get a new front bumper with triangular inserts on either side, a new grille, a new Hyundai logo on the lower section of the bonnet, new alloy wheels, a redesigned rear bumper, and a faux diffuser.

Updates to the interior of the premium hatchback could be limited to new upholstery. The international version of the model gets an ADAS suite, although it remains unknown if this feature will be introduced in the India-spec car.

Engine, performance, and specifications:

The i20 facelift is expected to be powered by the same 1.2-litre, NA petrol engine paired with a manual unit and an IVT unit. Also on offer could be the 1.0-litre, turbo-petrol mill mated exclusively to a seven-speed DCT gearbox.

Variants:

The updated i20 is expected to be offered in three variants – Magna, Sportz, and Asta(O).

Safety: 

The i20 facelift has not been tested for safety ratings by an NCAP body yet.

Competition:

Rivals to the new i20 will include the Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Tata Altroz.
