Hyundai Casper

Model launch date:

The Hyundai Casper is expected to be launched in India in early 2024.

Exterior:

Outside, the compact SUV gets round low set headlamps, a large silver grille, and LED DRLs. At the rear, it gets a large bumper with big tail lamps and LED indicators. The side profile highlights the square wheel arches, an upright stance, flush door handles for the second row, and large wheels to complete the SUV’s appearance.

Interior:

Inside, the cabin comes with black interior and white inserts in the seats. It also gets touchscreen infotainment screens, climate control, a digital instrument cluster, high adjustable driver seats, a rear armrest with cup holders, and six airbags for safety.

Engine, performance, and specifications:

The Hyundai Casper will be offered in two powertrains – a 1.0-litre MPi engine producing 68bhp and 95Nm of torque and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine churning 98bhp and 172Nm of torque. The former comes mated to a five-speed manual while the latter can be had in a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT.

Variants:

The manufacturer has yet not revealed any variants for Hyundai Casper.

Safety:

Hyundai has yet not tested the Casper for any safety rating.

Competition:

The Hyundai Casper will compete with the Tata Punch, Renault Kwid, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
